What we store
- Your wallet address, when you sign in and when you keep a plate. It is public on the plate’s page, shortened, and in full in the API.
- Your texts: the line you write for a plate and the caption you set in the studio, plus the print you save from the studio (an image).
- A session cookie (flare_s): signed, HttpOnly, for seven days, so you stay signed in. No tracking cookies, no ads, no analytics scripts.
- Short-lived counters keyed by wallet and IP address, to limit abuse (rate limits). They expire within two days.
What we don’t
No email, no name, no keys, no transaction history beyond the public chain. If $FLARE has launched, we read your token balance from a public Solana RPC to check holder status, and cache the number for a minute.
Who else
The site runs on Cloudflare. Fonts load from Google Fonts. Solar images are fetched from NASA and NOAA by our server, not by your browser, except when you choose to re-hash a NOAA frame yourself.
Deleting things
Plates are a public, hash-chained ledger, so we can’t remove one without breaking every plate after it. We can hide your line and print from our pages: ask us on X.
